I have a broad background in Dental Surgery, with specific training and expertise in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics. After my residency, I worked for undergraduate teaching and training of Orthodontics from 2011 to 2014 at Aligarh Muslim University (A Central University), Aligarh. During my early carrier stage, I moved to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal, Manipur to be the part of establishment of 1st Dental School for all the seven sisters state of North-East India from 2014 to 2015. It was a unique experience to work closely with administration for the establishment of new Orthodontic Department for the teaching and clinical training of undergraduate students. From 2015 onward, I am working as Assistant Professor of Orthodontics at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Along with strong background in clinical care, I am interested in research for the refinement of existing modalities in clinical care to improve the quality of life of my patients. I have special interests in the development of non-compliant orthodontic appliances and devices, Biomedical Device Innovation and its Intellectual Property Right. I have published five innovations in scientific journals, and one of my innovations has been published in Indian Patent Office Journal (802/DEL/2012) for the grant of patent. My current interest research areas are: procedures to shorten orthodontic treatment duration, the application of 3-D printing in Dentistry in general and Orthodontics in particular, and caries risk assessment in children with Cleft Lip and/or Palate. I am committed to extend my research in these areas and to train my students and future generations as per need of Indian subcontinent.
