Seq#3 - DC/TMD for Children and Adolescents (invitation only)
The DC/TMD is a widely used instrument for diagnosing common types of TMD. It has been validated for adults but not for children and adolescents. Several areas of the DC/TMD require revision to adapt the instrument for use in children and adolescents. Therefore, there is a need for developing a revised DC/TMD for this age group and then evaluating it for reliability and validity.
- The purpose of the workshop is to create a new version of DC/TMD that is easy to use in in children and adolescents, for both general practitioners and specialists. The workshop will produce consensus papers and make recommendations for future studies. Consensus papers will be addressed to general dental practitioners and specialists in Orofacial Pain and jaw Function.
